NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as a major teaching hospital is affiliated with two prestigious Ivy-League medical schools, the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, which has programs in both occupational therapy and physical therapy, and Weill Medical College of Cornell University. The hospital's vision and goals include working closely with affiliated schools and being at the forefront of medical innovation. In keeping with this vision, we encourage an environment of continuing education and scientific research, in addition to excellent clinical patient care.

Our rehabilitation staff maintains academic involvement through teaching, research studies, and contributions to the professional literature in many different specialty areas and in collaboration with other health professionals. In addition, most maintain membership in their respective national professional organizations and participate in national and local meetings and conferences. Many members of our senior staff also hold academic appointments with our affiliated programs.
